Summerside remain in CJHL Top 10, Edmundston an honourable mention

Brooks Bandits (AJHL) start 2020 No. 1 in the CJHL Top 20 Rankings
Coquitlam Express (BCHL); Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL) tabbed 2nd, 3rd respectively

CALGARY, Alta. – On the eve of Tuesday’s Canadian Junior Hockey League Prospects Game in Hamilton, Ont., the CJHL’s initial Top 20 Rankings for 2020 features a familiar side slotted No. 1 nationally to begin the New Year.

The Brooks Bandits (AJHL) remain ranked No. 1 in the 131-team CJHL as they boast a 38-3-1 overall recor, in the listings, which are compiled by an independent scouting source.

Sliding into the No. 2 slot is the surging Coquitlam Express. (BCHL). They are 37-6-0 and lead the way in British Columbia while having gone 18-1 in their past 19 outings.

At No. 3 nationally, you have the 36-5-0 Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL), who have an eight-point lead atop the AJHL’s Viterra North Division standings, with games in hand.

Having yet another solid campaign, the 36-5-3-2 Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL), come in at No. 4 in the CJHL this week while the 32-7-2 Battlefords North Stars (SJHL) pace the pack in Saskatchewan at No. 5.

Rounding out the Top 10 at sixth through 10th respectively are the Okotoks Oilers (AJHL); Oakville Blades (OJHL); Summerside Western Capitals (MHL); Timmins Rock (NOJHL) and the Powassan Voodoos (NOJHL).
