The Summerside Western Capitals avenged a loss in the first game of the Battle of the Bridge to win the inaugural pre-season tournament with a 3-0 victory over the Pictou County Weeks Crushers at Credit Union Place. Fans were treated to seven games over two days as the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) inches closer to the start of the regular season. Each game consisted of two 25-minute periods.
