- The Timberwolves are searching for their first Maritime Junior Hockey League championship. These teams last met in the 2016-17 Eastlink North Division Final where Miramichi swept Summerside to advance to the league final, which they lost in seven games to the Truro Bearcats. The Summerside Western Capitals were last in the league finals in 2021-22 when they defeated the Bearcats in five games.
- Summerside has scored the most goals per game (4.27) and allowed the second-fewest (2.73), while Miramichi has scored the third most goals in the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs (3.89) and allowed the third-fewest (2.78). Summerside has averaged a league-best 44.73 shots per game while allowing the fewest per game at 28.64. They have had four games where they registered at least 50 shots on goal. Miramichi ranks second in both of those categories, averaging 36.78 shots per game and allowing 32.67.
- Since taking over in goal for former-Western Capital Adam Rouleau in Game 3 against West Kent in the first round, Jack Flanagan has won seven games in a row between the pipes for Miramichi. Drew Sim has started every game of the playoffs in goal for Summerside.
- David Doucet leads the playoffs with ten goals and is riding an eight-game point streak, including four multi-point games, after being held off the scoresheet in Game 1 against West Kent in the first round. The Timberwolves haven’t lost since that playoff opener. Doucet and Zachael Turgeon each have two game-winning goals for Miramichi to lead the team.
- Robbie Rutledge leads the league with sixteen points thus far in the playoffs. He has points in nine of Summerside’s eleven games and powerplay goals in five games. Blake Eastman is third in scoring with fourteen points and three of his seven goals have been game-winners. He’s tied with Edmundston’s Dominic LeBlanc for the most game-winning goals this post-season.
- Summerside has been shorthanded 48 times in eleven to lead the playoffs, compared to 32 times shorthanded in nine games for Miramichi. The teams have identical penalty-killing percentages at 81.3%.
