Notes

    • This is the first playoff meeting between these teams since the 2018-19 season when Campbellton eliminated Edmundston in five games in the Eastlink North Division Semi-Finals. It’s their only playoff meeting since Edmundston relocated from Dieppe. In 2017-18.
    • Both teams had contributions up and down their lineups in the first round. Edmundston had goals from twelve players and points from 20, while Campbellton had goals from ten players and points from eighteen.
    • The Tigers acquired three players from Yarmouth this season and they are three of the team’s top-4 players in scoring. Thomas Larouche, who led the team with 61 points this season, had a team-leading ten against West Kent. Sam Hope and defenseman Lucas Boisvert each had five. They also combined for two goals and seven assists on the powerplay.
    • Perhaps unsurprisingly, Émile Fournier led the Blizzard with six goals against Miramichi. Player of the Year Philippe Collette led the team with eight points overall in round 1 with one goal and seven assists.
    • Edmundston’s powerplay struggled to get going against Miramichi. After a 22.1% powerplay in the regular season, fourth-best, the Blizzard were the worst of the eight playoff teams at 13.0% (3 for 23). Campbellton’s powerplay was in line with their regular season numbers; 17.9% (5 for 28) in round 1 compared to 17.6% in the regular season. Head-to-head, Campbellton went 5 for 32 (15.6%) against the Blizzard, while Edmundston was 3 for 25 (12.0%) against the Tigers.
    • The Blizzard goaltenders split their first-round series almost evenly as Frédéric Cousineau had 158 minutes played and Austin Caley had 153. Each allowed seven goals in the series. The only real blip for Caley was allowing five goals on seventeen shots in the Game 2 loss to the Timberwolves. Adam Rouleau logged all but seven minutes in Campbellton’s semi-final win over West Kent.
