Chase Ellis named Pro Design Cresting Rookie of the Month for January

Pictou County Weeks Crushers forward Chase Ellis has been named Pro Design Cresting Rookie of the Month after posting five goals and two assists in his first month in the Maritime Hockey League. The young man from Whycocomagh was just 16-years-old when he made his debut on January 3^rd against Amherst, turning 17 three weeks later.

Ellis found the back of the net in each of his first two games, against Amherst and Yarmouth respectively. On January 18^th, in his fourth career game in Junior A, Ellis posted two goals in a shootout loss to South Shore and also scored during the shootout itself. He picked up an assist the next night against Yarmouth. Capping off the month, Ellis scored the game-winner and added an assist in a 7-5 win over the Grand Falls Rapids.

Le 18 janvier, à sa quatrième partie junior A, Ellis a réussi deux buts dans une défaite en fusillade contre South Shore même s’il a marqué en tirs de barrage. Il a récolté une passe le lendemain contre Yarmouth. Ellis a clôturé le mois en inscrivant le but victorieux et récoltant une passe dans une victoire de 7 à 5 contre les Rapides de Grand-Sault.
