- Both teams qualified for the 2019 Canadian Tire Cup Playoffs but lost to the Campbellton Tigers. Edmundston fell in five games in the Eastlink North Division Semifinal, while Summerside was eliminated in six games in the Division Final. The Western Capitals and Blizzard faced off the year prior in the Division Final where Edmundston won in seven games and went on to beat Yarmouth to capture the MHL title.
